Front Indicator not working

Tried the obvious - bulb, bulb holder, Flasher unit !!

It is behaving exactly like a blown bulb in that the other lights are flahing too fast - but trust me, it is not ...

Short of trying to trace the bloody wires right from end to end - anyone got any bright ideas or seen this before ? It has got to be something stupid - oh and I tried earthing it out too in case it was as simple as a dropped earth - no such luck .
