Bike in the boot?

I need to take my Cerbera to the garage, but no family members are forthcoming with lifts back, so I was wondering, has anyone tried putting a mountain bike in a Cerb at all?

If i take the wheels off and twist the handlebars do you think it will go in?

Depends on the bike, but I know a full size mountain bike will fit in the Chimaera, done exactly the same before. Looking at the Cerb the boot is smaller but it should go with a squeeze.

Was discussed some 5 years ago and as I recall it it can be done with a small frame or if you remove front forks. My mountain bikes don't fit with only wheels removed.

I think you'd have more luck with the bike in the cabin than the boot. (?)

I can confirm my 18 inch frame mountainbike does fit across the back seats with the pasenger seat pushed forwards, but only just.

No way it would go in the boot of the Cerb, but as mentioned previously is an easy fit in the Chim.

Should have added i needed to remove both wheels and seat, but did not have to twist handlebars round. Seemed to go in best right way up with forks/handlebars on the pasenger side.

It's up, yes.

I only get a handful of chances a year where it's worth taking out, any other time, the journey is too short and it wouldn't even get warm.

tempted by a Caterham at the moment, we'll see though.
