How heavy is your power steering

Hello everyone,

My power steering has always been extremely heavy. To the point where you find it hard to believe it's assisted at all (but it is).

How do people find there steering please?

mine can be a big boggy on idle if I go lock to lock. A blip or so and its well assisted though - sounds like something is a little amiss with yours - have you tried greasing the UJ inside the offside wheels? In the past owners have reported massive success doing that one simple thing

Cool, thanks for that I'll have a look.

Car's been off the road for a long time (3+ years) but the steering was always very heavy.

I quite like it when you get used to it and on the move, but it did surprise me today after such a long time!

pretty sure this can be adjusted with the backlash adjustment on the rack

At idle I point blank refuse to believe mine is assisted at all, but its always been that way and has'nt got any worse so I assumed thats how it was supposed to be.

Mine was very poor when i got it, infact within 3 months of purchase i had to have the rack rebuilt at a cost of over £700 incl labour - i'm still undecided whether the improvement has been significant enough to warrant that outlay
