dude its true
so many ppl went out with me in that thing and were visibly shaking at like 70 mph !!

all your senses are bombarded in it... petrol, rushing air, that kinda torque chassis shake thing that the cerb has that makes it feel like it could rip itself apart and those deafening pipes, for sometime after buying it i thought i being followed by a spanish festival !!

bonkers.

Are you talking about the stainless tuned length exhaust manifolds? (4.2 doesn't have silicon intakes)
These are beautiful works of art but a bit of a pain to fit (allegedly - my indy did it).

Give a bit more bhp over badly cracked manifolds.

Did you mean 170? At 70 a Cerbera should be smooth, (relatively)quiet, and certainly relaxed and rock steady.

Yeah thats what i was talking aout lol, ok so they are better balanced interms of length then? Is it only really worth doing if the std ones are cracked?

Mine were badly cracked on both sides so I took the opportunity to upgrade/improve. I got approx an extra 18bhp, but I also had a slight low rev misfire so had the coils changed at the same time so couldn't say exactly what the difference was. The exhaust system was changed the year before.

Adding HP where in the rev range though Gary? Are you talking peak power or mid range? If you've looked at the standard manifolds you could never accuse them of being a tuned length could you!

I didnt ask specifically about where it doesnt add HP.

They look nice and Andys price of £500 is half what someone else wanted recently from memory.

I think even Tim will tell you that these are expensive to get made (by JP) and he doesn't make much on each set sells. I would say that if you need to replace your manifolds then these are better than the originals. I believe and imhe they do add Torque (or power lower down if you wan to call it that), whether the outlay justifies the gains is why i say do it if they need replacing.

Have them fitted to my 4.2, but have not had the car rolling roaded since.
What I can say is the port alignment is far better as is the lengths of the
primary and secondary pipes. The car revs better over 6k and the engine note
is much sharper, crisp and even.
I have read on PH that the mismatch of the ports to original exhaust was deliberate to smooth
the low speed running, the car now with new manifolds runs better than ever
and will sit in contraflow traffic at 2000rpm without a stutter of missfire.
