I guess that's not a good sign! I wonder what percentage of Cerbera's got written off - presumably a lot more than average.
I think you may be pleased to know it's not a bad sign, the index that is lost when a car dies is the one it has registered at the time. When my previous cerb was destroyed I wanted to keep my index number. DVLA insisted I should have told them before it exploded if I wanted to keep my personalised number....Now I know this is a super old thread but I have your car DannyIT , well it's mine now.
I was digging through some paper works and found the old reg, googled it and this came up! Had a look at your name on your profile and it matches.
So reading the original post, you were the original owner? And the car is a factory light weight?
Long shot, do you have any original paperwork?

Wow, blast from the past - 5 years later, and about 15 years after I ordered the car! Yes, I am the original owner. At the time I ordered it, I don't think "lightweight" existing, but I was lucky and they changed the spec while mine was on order. I've got all the original paperwork in storage or the attic somewhere, including the A4 build sheet with almost every option ticked. I have my old digi pics from the factory tour, and plenty more from track days etc - I loved that car, including working on it with Joolz - though maybe not the diff mounting bush. The original engine was upgraded by the factory to "Red Rose" spec a couple of years in, when I drove a friend's "special order" car that was clearly quicker. I will follow your refurb with great interest when I get a chance!

Wow, so glad your email address and ph account is still active.
I would love to know more about the car, history, spec, upgrades etc.
Please PM me!
You will be glad to know it is being treated properly and given lots of attention and new shiny bits where needed.
Didn't know it was a LW model so that's a real plus.
