You will miss our runs unfortunately Rog, as the Novice class is done and dusted by lunch. I've got to make a run for the hills as I have foolishly agreed to play rugby tomorrow afternoon but TC and Dean normally hang about (Dean to no doubt collect his prize again now he has fitted a trick diff and TC to watch from the sidelines...again

Be good to see you down there Rog, as Fubes says all the good action (handicap class

CHEATER!Congrats to all of the TVR lot, Fubar put in a stunning time at the end, 12.8 at the BST's is not to be frowned upon, and the terminal speed was mighty. I believe Dean also managed to put in a 12.68 which is pretty close to his previous best and TC managed to better his previous times too IIRC. Apologies for not making it over to talk to you guys - I only briefly caught ten seconds to chat to Fubar (and notice his nice tyres ) I had my best mate with me, so we were mainly just watching the runs rather than looking around the paddock... we'll have to sort something in future afterwards as we now have a house down there. 
It wasnt quite as successful a speed trial for us, dad once again did us proud with the tyre warming (massive burnouts) but unfortunately every time it queued up for a run the heavens opened, the nearest we got to a dry run was filled with wheelspin until 3rd gear, previous to that it wasnt quite possible to use full throttle, best of day was over a second slower than our previous personal best of 12.79. I suppose after so many years of competing in glorious sunshine it was likely we'd eventually see wet runs. Atleast the crowd seemed to like the tyre warming/ sound, TVR's always win the day with this, crowd favourites easily. Just a shame Dave Morris wasnt there with his Tuscan racer, a truly epic car and an absolute gent, he was missed from the day - hopefully he'll be back next year?

About time those horses made themselves known eh? haha!In all seriousness; the Brighton speed trials in the dry is a very slippery surface, there are bumps - which not only cause traction issues, are also linked with surface changes - to do alright there, you need to either have 4wd, good traction control, or fantastic driving. As you are all aware, TVR's do not accept the former as good form, so the latter is key. In the wet, this challenge is even harder. To all that compete these cars, you deserve the applause and appreciation - its not easy at all.
I personally think we need to keep the number of cerbs consistant, I'd much rather a strong entry, than see some of the now regulars get turned away.
