Front discs for a 4.5

Apologies, as I know this information is already about somewhere, but without a working search function, I can't find it.

I need new front discs for my 4.5 (heat cracks getting quite bad now). I'm pretty sure its the 322mmx30mm one piece with the 6-pot calipers on there at the moment.

A pair of standard Tuscan S jobbies come in a c.£420, and I believe these are a direct replacement.

What are my other options? Is there an upgrade that isn't going to require a second mortgage?

(BTW - I track the car at Knockhill fairly often and it's pretty hard on brakes)

The bell and rotor setup is more pricey again - overall cost was £575 (inc VAT) when I did it (I had the OE bells) - that was two rotors (330x28), two bolt kits and new pads.

330x28mm are no longer available (not from AP anyway) so you need to go for a 330x32 and I'm not sure if the width is compatible with those callipers.

BG Developments, where I got mine, still have 330 x 28 listed for £435

Apologies you are correct, what it is is that 30mm discs are the recommended thickness for the calliper (mine anyway) and that is not available at the correct PCD. BG did not recommend that I went to 28mm as there would be a risk of popping the piston out when the pads wore down. Not a problem if you always keep a close check on your pads I suppose.
