Gearbox leak

Looks like i have a gearbox leak, where i don't know, but my question is although i know where the filler and drain are how do you get a 3/8 drive into it, there is no room between my manifold down pipes where the level plug is.

Other than making a slim tool to get in there are there any off the shelf rackets, or spanners with a ratcheting end that fit and are smell enough to get between the down pipe and gearbox.

I want one so that i can check what i have left and as i'm checking may as well change it and monitor it over a period of time so see if i'm loosing more than i can keep up with before getting the gearbox resealed.

think i may have found the answer to my own question

The ratchet spanner adapter worked a treat, found the filler plug not very tight and added some oil to get it to the level again, hadn't really lost much so will keep an eye on it and see how we go.

just need to find that rear knocking now.

Have a look at your diff mounting bushes/plates. Always a favourite for knocking form the back.
