Hi All,
Just bought a lovely 4.5 Red Cerbera, it was Michael Green's, you might know the car....
Went out for a number of blasts before the day was over, what a great, great car, a true credit to its former owners.
Had a slight issue when I finally stopped playing, the car would not turn off, the engine stops, press the button to stop the ignition, it goes off then come back on, radio back on dash lights up etc ??? Maybe i am doing something wrong, switched it all off via the silver switch for now and alarmed the car, any clues to what i am doing wrong???

Hi Mark,firstly WECOME to the mad(dening) world of Cerb ownership and good luck with all your future (s)miles.
Bit confused with your description above. On my '01 4.5 you have to press the button first to stop the engine. Everything is then dead until you next use the immobiliser.
Do you really mean :-
1) the engine stops
2) prees the button to stop the ignition
The first trip I ever made in my baby was cut, unexpectedly, short when I was in the outside of a three-lane motorway and the whole of the elctrics went dead. I managed to coast into a service station and checked everything over. She restarted no problem and I could only think that I must have pressed the cut-out button whilst doing 69 mph - Doh !
Sorry, didn't want to classify you in the same level of stupidity as me but the first drives for me were "a land of wonder"

Thanks for the welcome guys, the car is fantastic.
To clarify my problem, the engine stops when I press the button to stop, and starts to shut down, radio goes off etc, but then the ignition/radio/dash lights come back on again , they go off but then seem to power cycle back and then stay on, the only way to stop this is to turn the silver key, the guys at topcats racing think it might be the switch, but have not ever seen this before 

Reminds me of "Christine". When the radio comes back on does it start playing old songs? You want to watch that the seat doesn't start squishing you 
Anyway, maybe the black button is dodgey and makes a connection when it shouldn't. It only needs a momentary connection to put the ignition back on.
