belts on Speed 6 engines

Has anyone had to change the belts on a Speed six engine yet and if so at what mileage, or has anyone any idea at what mileage you have to change them.

It uses timing chains I believe, not belts - i.e. last the likely life of the engine.

I know the 4.2 doesn't have belts.

3 timing chains.

Theoretcally never need to be changed but can stretch and thus put the timing out IIRC.

Think this happened to someone on the tuscan forum, so I guess asking there might be the way forward.

I thought it was every 15,000 miles or the life of the engine (sorry - couldn't resist, please ignore me!)

Sorry i did'nt expain very well but the belts i mean are the alternator belts and power steering ones i think, they are on the drivers side of the engine about half way down.

you are nearly right as my engine has done 24k and has gone 3 times now but they do not change these belts so they must be one of the reliable parts that TVR make.
