Shock Absorber Help

Hi All
First week with my new Cerb and I need your advise already, I've not even had a chance to put her up on a lift yet and have a look underneath but I noticed today that the nearside front wheel is sitting much higher into the wheel arch than the offside so I guess i've a weak or broken spring on the near side front.
Fairly high on my to-do list is a new set of shocks (prob Gaz Golds but need to do some more research)so I have two questions for you.
1. Does anyone have a serviceable set of Std front shocks that would do me a good turn whilst I get my head around which aftermarket items to buy?
2. Which aftermarket Shocks do you very knowledgeable lot recommend?

Your in luck! I just so happen to have recently taken off a set off standard front shocks with springs. Yours for the price of postage if you want them. Nothing wrong with them when I took them off, so no reason to believe there should be anything wrong with them now. I'm in Kent, so if you close by at anytime then can be collected from either Kings Hill or Sittingbourne.
What is your budget for your new shocks. I've always gone by the rule of buy the best you can afford.

Nitrons good, need a little time to get them set right for you but great when they are.
Ohlin very good but very expensive.
Standard OK for road use but if you track the car even for fun you will quickly show up the shocks, they are just not up to the job when pushed.
STR8SIX give good advice and supply and fit most make for you and are just off the M40 at Junct 6, Nitron are in witney, Oxon and offer a fitting service and full set up as well.
Personally I went down the Nitron route, and spenta couple of track days getting them set up properly, now very happy.

As far as my budget for shocks goes, I'm not planning any track days, even if I did i'm no Lewis Hamilton so a good road set up will do me, i've a couple of thousand to spend to complete all jobs and the list is getting longer, but that is just for parts, as we run a small garage & bodyshop all work will be done here.
If I was you I would go for the Gaz, and get the Geo set up properly. Unless you are going to take it on track, or drive it really hard, you will not notice the difference. I have Gaz on mine and do a few trackdays and it handles well enough to see off most cars.

I've just bought Racing Red ones for mine and are having them fitted at STR8SIX next week :-)
They were recommended to me by another Cerbera owner who has 3 Cerberas - so definitely knows his stuff!

I know Ampthill very well, many many moons ago I went to school there, well to be honest mostly bunking off in the park
If all is well on sunday there's a couple of us going over to the TVRCC meet a Sywell just outside Northampton if you fancy a run out!

Can't claim to know much about Cerbs despite 4 years of ownership but I had Racing Reds fitted at the start of the 'season'. For my purposes (use at w/ends with a bit of occasional swift road coverage) they are absolutely spot on and transformed my car's handling. The original Bilsteins were absolutely sh!t in comparison and the car felt like a real handful to keep control of even at motorway legal speeds.I'd happily recommend Racing Reds albeit I've never driven a Cerb with other types fitted.They were recommended to me by another Cerbera owner who has 3 Cerberas - so definitely knows his stuff!

Well nearly half way through what started out as just replacing shocks and has turned into a major overhaul of Steering and Suspension as well as a thorough clean up of chassis and re-waxoyling.
I've provisionally set my Gaz Gold Pro's at 10 clicks out of 20 on the bump & rebound, also set the ride height at half way, Gaz have supplied the Geo setting but I wondered if any of you have experience of these shocks on a Cerb and could recommend settings for the Ride Height and Bump/Rebound.
