As long as it's on the level you just fill through the plug on the side till it spills out, therefore you can't overfill.
Has to be on the level mind
yes I know, but I don't think it has been filled like that and has had farrrr too much in and fHas to be on the level mind

Drained 2 ltrs of 'red' fluid out of mine and replaced with 2 litres of Castrol Driveline Syntrax Universal due to comments about 5th gear failure.
Everything is fine
Oh, and here are the drain and filler plugs .....

OK Chaps a little more info required, any chance that I'd be able to find out which serial number gearbox went with my car?
A little update on what is going on.
The monkeys have been plating with my car, gearbox was removed today at HHC and it is clearly apparent that the gearbox input shaft seal is leaking...given the fact that the flange isn't sitting properly due to 3 of the 4 bolts being stripped. 1 bolt was the correct length, 2 too long to reach threads further in and 1 was cut down from a longer bolt.
The input shaft also has some play on it so that needs shimmed up to stop the input shaft from wobbling.
The reason I ask if the gearbox can be traced is because my gearbox was supposedly re-built, however it is covered in old grime and oil so doesn't look like it has been cleaned before stripping/rebuilding it, which should be common practice. This is leading me to believe that the gearbox has actually just been replaced, not repaired.

Damn it al....if true thats just not cricket! I know where you sent your car...if true then its a name and shame job if you ask me...damn the rules! Hope you get sorted....somehow....
once it's all sorted, I'll be requesting special permission to N&S as I don't want anyone to be stung...this isn't the only problems to arise from the situation, however I will write up a full report and list of events once it is done and I've got my money back from them.Gassing Station | Cerbera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
