After market alarm - mine keeps going off!

From what I've seen on other Cerbs my key fob is different (says microscan security on the back) and has two buttons. It seems to be one of those full closure ones that does the windows up if left open etc and seemed ok until a few weeks back it went off for no reason (5mins after arming).

Then a week ago it went off as I was approaching it, then it went off twice today, once whilst I wasn't at home (the keyfob was about 20metres away) and another time when about 5mins after arming.

Anyway, as there seems to way of locking the car without arming the alarm I'm a little stuck/concerned as I don't want to leave it unlocked but at the same time the siren is ridiculously loud (good thing) and don't want it going off at night annoying the neighbours!

Are Cerbs easy to work on if I was to take it to a decent alarm fitter(!)? Also, if I was to replace it, what would people reccomend?

The standard alarm should be from meta

Any good alarm shop should be able to sort it however I would give Carl a call.

Ditto to the above, Carl is the only person to speak to about Cerb alarms.
But before you ring him, remove your helmet holder and check if the original Meta alarm is still fitted, there should be 2 black boxes screwed to the rear. I reckon the first thing Carl will want to know is if the original alarm is still in place.

I'll check that out. I'll see how the alarm goes over the next week or so and take a look for the Meta alarm next weekend

FFS! just went off twice for no reason! checked doors/boot etc all are closed properly Have had to disarm it for now and keep a close eye on the cctv.

No idea why it suddenly started to play up unless its not liking the trickle charger? I did wire in a camera detector yesterday also, but just took a switched and earth feed from the stereo, nothing major.
