I 'believe' operating as normal under administration until a buyer can be found.

I have heard that a buyer has already been found, and that the details are being finalised.

The company will still continue to operate with the same staff, and the policies will still be underwritten by NIG. So, nothing will change.

My policy is due for renewal at the end of next month, and I have been told that it will all be sorted out by then.

Neil.

They are operating as normal. The only thing that might change, is if a claim is paid out, the policy holder might have to pay the bill, and reclaim direct from WH themselves.

Having never needed to do this before, what is the process anyway for work?

Do you get a quote, submit it and they either agree or inspect the car, or do they
inspect as standard?

How long is the wait for an inspection.

Would the same rules apply to any warranty claim?

When I claimed for my clutch, it was Joolz that did it all for me, so I assume that the normal procedure. Its the garage that reclaims the costs that they've incurred. The onlt cost to you is the excess...if there is one. Cant remember.

Warranty holdings management have now set up

Auto Protect which is the same format as before and is a Mechanical and Electrical Breakdown Insurance for new and used cars

Fingers crossed that it is any good only time will tell.

I think Warranty holdings got a bad deal due to the fact that in most cases with TVR's they lost money on most products! In some cases I was more than pleased for customers that they got certain amounts of coverage and other times couldn't believe that they didn't give a penny..

Anyway this is the same management team without Ford running the show.

So we will see...

I've just had my warranty policy set up by the dealer (Alan Macdonald Sports Cars) with Auto Protect.

Alan gave me the number of a salesman (Nick Mason) so I could ask him a few questions before we agreed which warranty company we used (what a nice man). Auto Protect sounds okay in principal and I guess no worse than some others... but I only time will tell and hopefully I'll never have to test it!

Is that the same Nick Mason who used to work for Walldonway ? I know when he left he was talking about going & working for a warranty company

I bought myself a 3 year warranty from www.warrantyworks.co.uk (which is actually an "Olympic" warranty) for £700, and they seemed helpful when I rang. Only gripes: £2500 limit per claim (they won't increase this), and only one clutch claim allowed in the lifetime of the policy.

We needed ours to be towed to our dealer in henley, the breakdown assistance said they would do it, but we would have to pay up front,

same as any work being carried out. our dealer has always sorted this for us, except for any labour costs.

we have another month to go.. will have a shop around
