worn camshaft and bearing housing help

Found that the rear 2 bearing housings on the O/S head and camshaft journals are scored.
Has anyone had a similar problem that they successfully repaired, what did you do, who did you use.

Got any pictures of how bad? Seen this before on other engines and it's not the end of the world. If they're not very deep then it'll be fine to carry on as is.

Repairing will be expensive, weld up or machine out and fit and insert and then re-machine the bore.

Had them inspected by a engine specialist machine shop and he thinks just as you do, that with a journal polish on the cams and a dressing of the housing they will be fine. The journal are about 1thou out which is naff all and the scratches in the caps cover only a very small area of the bearing housing. They are narrow but about 1mm deep so could act like an oil groove once they are cleaned up. Good news really.
