stiffer gearbox/engine mounts?

Hi Guys,

Nearly getting there....

One final issue I have with the toy, is that on hard cornering, especially right hand turns, something starts rubbing. Garage thinks manifolds on chassis rails & has had 3 attempts at stopping them hitting without success. FWIW I have ACT manifolds which are bigger & a linked decat.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get stiffer gearbox/engine mounts for a 4.2?

Yes you can. I have replaced mine as I had the same problem but it doesn't necessarily fix it. With mine it was always the left (nearside) exhaust that rubbed on the chasis. My mechanic realised that the left exhaust manifold moved with expansion more than the right hand side causing the exhaust to touch the chasis when hot (exhaust fixed when cold for obvious reasons). Finally fixed the problem by spot welding a bar across the two exhaust banks.
