ECU Connector

I was trying to connect my laptop to the ECU of my Cerbera for the first time tonight having purchased a USB to serial adapter but could not find the 9 pin connector on the ECU anywhere. I thought it must be behind the black cover as seen on the photo of the ECU/MBE but I was unable to remove it easily and didn't want to force it. Anyone able to confirm the connectors position, am I correct in thinking it is behind the black cover.

Usually there are 4 domed allen headed screws in the corners and the whole plate comes off but that black lump is in thbe right area.

Is it a S6 or V8?

S6, the front plate is held in at all four corners by plastic moulded over from the rear plate.

Apologies, I was on my phone and looking at the pic on the PC it's clear it's a S6!

Just as an aside if you need MBE bits such as extra pins to put in the ECU connectors for diagnostic leads, give S B Developments a call. They've been very quick to get parts for me.
