Hi all, I wonder if any of you either know of, have previously owned, or have given the once over to either of the above Cerbs? As they are both some distance from me, any inside info would be greatly appreciated as I am looking to scratch the itch soon and am fighting the sensible Chim vs Beastly Cerb debate in my head! Thanks!

I saw the 62k mile car on the ramps at TVR Barnet a month or two ago. Phil Phedonos was having work done prior to sale.
The car looked solid overall but needed some tlc as far as I was concerned (this may have been done by now) - it was a bit grubby/dirty but I suspect a few weekends cleaning the car and it will come up nicely. Drivers seat had a small tear.

By solid I mean it appears as if Phil has taken care of all the items that needed replacing. Stainless water pipes, oil cooler, the chassis was rubbed down and wax oiled, two new rear shock absorbers etc etc.
Cosmetically the car needs TLC - looked like the car had been unloved by it's previous owner. A SERIOUS clean up was on the cards - tooth brush clean up! That goes for the under side too.
The car was being prepared by TVR Barnet who I think are/were top notch so you have some assurance that the car was in good hands while being brought up to standard.
Usual caveats apply.
Ps - Phil knows his TVR's - he is into hill climb racing with a very rapid Chim, and from what I have read a top notch person to deal with.

I went and had a look at Phil Phedonos's 62K car. But it was the first Cerbera I'd seriously looked at so didn't do a deal there and then as I wanted to see what else was around. The engine seemed good and ran well (I rode as a passenger). There are some marks to the interior as has already been noted on here, noteably the seat and the steering wheel is quite worn on the top (look closely in the pic and you'll see), the headliner has a smattering of mildew too, the drivers door rubber seal is loose on the sill. The boot release button on the dash didn't seem to operate the boot catch. There has been a minor re-spray to the driver's side front quarter which is slightly orange peely around and just below the headlight. I think all four wheels had at least some kerb marks but nothing too dramatic. It was difficult to assess the chassis fully, but it seemingly had a fair coating of waxoil and I did find signs of mild corrosion on the rear corner of the passenger side outrigger.
It's by no means an exhaustive survey, however I thought you might like to hear my observations.

Thanks, that's exactly the kind of info I was after. The lower mileage car has been for sale for a while now, hopefully someone will have some similarly comprehensive details. rubber seals arent glued as far as i know and you can slot them back in if they move, thats not a problem, also there are no boot catch buttons inside the car. Phil is a top bloke and knows his tvrs, bought mine from there and would recommend anytimeRobscim said:

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't have such a thing and I have never seen one on another car!!But then they are TVRs so probably no two the same!
