ok who's got the secret boot opening button??

Just been reading on an earlier thread about a mysterious boot release switch on the dash?

I was 100% sure this doesn't exist, but it didn't stop me going out to the car to have a peek just in case I found a new button to play with

The Chimps have a remote button under the steering from memory for boot opening. I havent seen a cerb with one.

Ok, so let me clear this up! I think I've (unintentionally) led a few people up the preverbial garden path here!

In my deffence, I am still very 'green' in the TVR department, and I was told that the button in question was a boot release by the person selling the car, I pressed it and nothing seemingly happened, the seller then said "yer, I don't think it works on this one", it was however quite noisy and there may have been some confussion. Having read some of the replies in both this and the blue cerb thread it seems that this is not the case, I've seen the same button on other Cerbs since, It's mounted on/in the centre console and is the same small round black push button as the interior door releases. So, I guess it's probably the dissarm for the exterior entry buttons?

ok confused again is it a door disarm button or an alarm button? no idea now - all I know is it looks the same as the internal door release and flashes when the alarm is on?

And there's me thinking I knew my Cerb.

Works as a 'central locking' button on mine too. I tested it by winding down the window and trying the external button and it was disabled. Only thing is, I couldn't 'unlock' the external door buttons by pressing the 'magic button' again. I had to open the door from the inside to reset it.

Yep mine is definately a door locking button - test complete press button wind window down and try and open door and it wont open. Although if you press it again it doesn't reset - had to open door by pressing the normal door button.
