Water level in expansion tank.

Hello all,just picked up my Cerbera a couple of weeks ago and am enjoying the ownership.I have never owned a TVR before and bought a 1998 4.2 after searching for a good one for years.Just a question-The water level in the expansion tank,when you look into the top should the water be up to the plastic seam that runs around the tank,i cannot see the level indicator anywhere even though the manual says keep it topped up to the full mark.The engine was cold.The car does not run hot,have any leaks or loose steam from the exhaust,i just do not think it had been topped up,it was not empty it just looked low to me.It was level with the holes in the bottom.Thanks for your time.

Yep - up to the seam.

There are min and max marks, although funnily they are up against the wing, so you can't see them! The advantages of TVR using parts designed for other cars. lol

For what it's worth, mine finds a natural level of about 10mm below the seam when cold.

It doesn't drop any further though
