I learned yesterday that my old 4.5 Cerbie was killed by its new owner 3 weeks ago.

I'd sold it to Gary B 2 years back, and he'd just sold it on. It sounds like the new owner wasn't used to the power and wrapped it round a lamp post.

A shame really. It was a good (and for a Cerbie reliable) car. I put 54,000 miles on it in the time I had it with no major issues.

He was fine. That's the thing about the Cerbie. It's a very safe car to crash.

....I personally think that NO car is safe to crash...some afford a little more protection than others, and fortunately the Cerbera is one of these, but all circumstances of accidents are very much different and can be fatal at any given time.....as the old saying goes..."Be careful out there!"

Shame, that car had a lot of words written about it and a lot of work over time (did it have ohlins on it or was that another bizzare dream?).

When I sold it to Gary I had taken off the Ohlins and the 8 pot Brembo brakes. I'd also removed the sat nav.

Oddly enough, when I was trying to sell it with all of the mods, everybody was scared (for some reason they didn't want a car that handled really well and stopped on a sixpence). These days I'm always reading about people who are upgrading.

Bummer.

TVR61 was among those responsible for me getting mine after Thrash #1 at Cadwell.

The others were Finian's lambo orange FOB580 that also died, but allegedly rose again..., Moonie's M400N, Patrick Buckland's purple creation, last suspected to be living in Maidenhead (and co-piloted by Mel Gibson on the day), Dubby's DUB13Y (still alive?), Roger Wilkins' Violent Violet and a few others.
Truly a day of days!

Silverstone many years ago....

"door open"
"door close"

Glad to hear the owner is ok, sorry to hear about the car.

There have been a few 'incidents' of late and not only new owners have been involved.

Let's be careful out there, these cars can and will bite.

Who are you and how do you know about that!?

Just had a look for the Pikey pics (tm) of the event and remembered that that was the time I formatted the wrong memory stick!! I think James had those on Slappy Towers but that site seems long gone too!

Just noticed a prototype sagaris bit in those pics:

..and that pic is 4 years old

Editted to say, ok, well perhaps not quite, but it has got vents in the top of the front wing.

But the grey one - isnt that the one that has just sold for 120K to a guy who is having a speed 12 engine fitted at the factory?

Perhaps it's a really old front section from the Griffith Speed 6 - the later version of that had the very same vents on the bonnet and wings IIRC.
