alarm/ door problems

hi can any one please give me a point in the right direction as i am a new cerb owner
i try to lock the car with fob but the alarm just goes mad and hazards flash 4 times and cannot get it to lock why is this

i have also come across the driver door push button to open door but bit tempramental but i get door open but window does not drop that small bit and doesnt go back up like what my passenger door does what do i need to do to fix his if any one can help

I would start by checking magnetic read sensor on lower edge of the door sill, as this confirms door is closed.

That sounds like your back up battery has failed in the alarm siren, and in turn has fryied your alarm control box. you need it get it looked at by some ones whos clued up with Meta alarm systems

this could be a number of things......
door/window control box that lives in the boot on top of the fuel tank, un plug it for five mins, then re connect it to reset it ( careful not to mix the plugs up or you will blow it )

reed switch at the bottom of the door faulty, test and replace if required

micro switch in side the door, which tells the control box if the window is closed or open, again test and replace if required

and finally you might have a broken wire in the wiring loom between the door and the body ( a common problem )

dont no what i am looking at for the magnectic sensor is it the black circle when door sensor hits
