Iced doors

Trying to get in the car this morning, am I getting in? Not a chance!
I've poured warm water all over the door and windows seals but it still won't open, I take it this a common problem on a Cerb.
Any suggestions?

Kev is your man for this..his lives outside so must be an expert at getting in

The latch is probably frozen solid. Pour warm water down the crack in the door, the latch is just above half way up IIRC.

If you are desperate to get in then I pour Luke warm water over the brush type seals that run along the base of the window, then I run a credit card thin piece of plastic all the way along the brush to make sure the window has not bonded to the brushes. Once done just do a visual on the window seals to make sure they look free from ice, if there is evedence of ice then run something around the seals in-between the glass and seal.
This has worked for me with 10years on ownership but where ever possible in these conditions I leave it alone and plugged in to the Accumate.

Cheers for the quick replies, I've just managed to get in, passenger side first then I opened drivers side from the inside.
However I think my battery has died as it's turning over VERY slowly, I've got a charger so will probably take the battery out and charge, is there anything I need to be aware of before I take it out?

Its a pain to take battery out, trickle charge in situ?

I thought mine was iced up but judging from that picture looked like it takes some getting in.
I think I'll try jump starting it.
I don't garage the car at the moment so not sure about the accumate, a battery monitor would be good but I've heard they don't work properly with the Cerb.

Mine is not garaged at all ( as you can see above) but I still use the Accumate, so long as all conections are kept where water doesn't get then all is well.

I'll have a look at the battery brain, I park on a large car park with no power source near so I think that rules out the accumate.

Sorted it, just ended up jump starting and then went for a blast, hopefully my battery is ok, I'll be putting her away for the winter soon.
