4.2 engine diagnostics

Since i got my cerb about a month ago i have noticed its not being running to my liking, nothing seems to be coming out of one side of the exghaust and when i had it up on the lift last week i realised you could actully hold onto one of the manifolds with the car running for about 5 mins and you would get 3rd degree burns off the other one!

My USB - Serial arrived today so i thought i would share a screen dump with you all - any thoughts and comments appreciated (From first apperance i recon the throtle pods need adjusted/replaced)

Yes - your throttle pots are way out. I would suggest working through the procedure in the workshop manual for setting them up and seeing what the adaptives look like then. Until the throttle pots are balanced it is just guesswork trying to diagnose a problem from the software.

Can you feel an exhaust pulse from the bank you suspect by putting your hand over the tail pipe?

You may be able to track down a misfire by unplugging the injectors in turn and seeing if one makes no difference to the idle.

The throttle pot on the Left hand screen is 9.9% (to low) and the Righ hand box is 19.4%.(slightly to high)
Looks like you throttle pots / linkage need adjusting to me. They should both be around 15% at tickover.
I would think that you are only ticking over on 4 cylinders.(19.4% bank)
Push the accelerator down slowly and watch the 2 TP readings, they should rise together and track each other to within 2%.
