Trouble With Rev Counter

Been out today and had a great run to Northants TVRCC meet at the Aviator at Sywell, My cerb is running better than ever having just been serviced and finally (i thought) reached the end of my to do list. Only minor issue today is that my rev counter will only go round to 3800rpm, cars running fine and continues to pull freely past 3800rpm but the rev counter just stops there.

Any Ideas ?
