How easy? Any step by step to doing this on your driveway?

I don´t know if there´s a huge difference on a Cerb, but it´s not a big job on the Tuscan. Once the airbox is out you can see the starter underneath, held in with 2 allen head bolts. If you´ve got allen bit sockets and a 6" or so extension it makes the top bolt much easier as you can run the socket down between the starter and the block.

Mine gets removed and cleaned every couple of years as the engagement mechanism gets gunked up so the starter spins without engaging properly.

Same as the Tuscan, remove the airbox and you will see it towards the bulkhead its a black cylinder type thing!!.

I've never removed it but it doesn't look difficult. It's a damn sight more difficult in the V8..

Easy, as said before. Airbox removal much easier than in a Tuscan as well.

Just remeber to get the wiring right when putting it back in...

Could provide some photos if necessary.

Cheers boys Ill have a go tomorrow. Starter keeps getting stuck, maybe a clean up would fix till I can get a refurb? Thoughts?

works every other try. Basically its buggered. Anyone ever cleaned one up and luckily got it to work? if so steps to cleaning one?

If you mean it spins but doesn´t engage properly then probably same as mine. Gunk builds up on the end of the pinion shaft and stops it sliding out properly to engage. I clean mine with WD40 or similar until the pinion can be levered out easily. Dry it off and a tiny smear of grease where the pinion slides and then it´s ok for another couple of years.
