This 'ere chip thing

Does anyone (Joolz) know whether the standard chip upgrade offered by Joolz and Austec can brought with either a standard or decat map.
The question arises because since my decat I've noticed a slight flat spot between 2500 and 3000 rpm which I'm sure a remap would cure, but being a tight git I'd rather opt for the £500 or so option than go the whole hog with a rolling road...
