Round about the £1000 mark. But it should be the last thing you do to the car once you have the suspension sorted, good tyres, and a decent exhaust, and your engine is already set up correctly, and the tappets have recently been done, The remap maps the ECU to your current Engine state. If you have a $hite exhaust then it will be mapped to suit that exhaust.
Hi, just browsing and noticed this. Tim at ACT sent me over a short induction kit to TVR Power as Dom was giving my 4.5 a 12K service last week. Picked the car up on Saturday and it is transformed! Throttle response is now instaneous, it's much smoother and it pulls like a train. I had it on Dom's rolling road this time last year and the combination of 12K service/induction kit/eprom upgrade/remap has added 40bhp (at the wheels). All told cost me a shade under £1K but worth every penny as I actually think it's better than when I first bought it 9 years ago.
Btw can't recommend TVR Power enough, it's a 270 mile round trip but worth it every time.

just to check (in case I'm being thick) the whole lot remap etc etc etc plus a 12K service was less than a thousand earth pounds even including VAT?Btw can't recommend TVR Power enough, it's a 270 mile round trip but worth it every time.

i have a roof if you are after one £250 and i am going to try and use the cerbera air box to try and ram in the air(if i can get it to fit)let me know how you get on with your engine thanks darren
I'm also using Cerb airboxes (or possibly a slightly custom design from ACT), as the standard Tuscan Challenge inlets really are crap, and look s
t too. Not sure where to put the inlet yet though. Will do, hopefully the engine will be ready for running in on the engine dyno in the next couple of weeks or so. It's going to be run in fully and then power tested out of the car to get some proper numbers, then it will meet the car for dynoing and some airfield testing. The roof comes from John Reid at Grantura Engineering. I own a mould for the roof but unfortunately it's still in Sweden as it wouldn't fit on the trailer when I bought the car! Love this photo of the car though, it looks almost like a 60's GT Racer from the era of the Cobra or Shelby Daytona or something, with a few nods to a modern TVR. Cracking looking thing, especially with the wider rear end on it as it really accentuates the rear arch curves.

Thanks for the reply, I know this is going off topic.
I was wondering if this could be made into a hard top for a road going car?

Which road going car...? I tried to put the Leven cover I have for my Chim over the Tuscan when leaving it outside at the paint shop and was surprised to find that the whole cockpit/roof is MUCH bigger than then Chim, so the cover didn't fit at all. So it would fit a Tuscan certainly, but nothing else I wouldn't think. I do know of someone currently making a removeable hard top/fastback roof for his race Chim though if you're interested?I was wondering if this could be made into a hard top for a road going car?
