loose seat!! how to tighten bolts?

The passenger seat in my 97 4.2 is loose, rattling over the bumps. I need to get to the bolts that mount the seat to the floor, but cannot appear to get access.

Has anyone done this before? is there a secret lever to tilt the seat forward allowing totally unrestricted access? (i wish)

Do you attack the buggers from under the car? Maybe the seats are on studs with nuts?

On my '97 Cerbera I had the same problem. The nuts that hold the seat onto the rails can be got to by pushing aside the seat cushion. You'll need to use a bit of force to get at them, but its possible.

You can then get a socket onto them (13mm as I recall....)

there are four bolts under the car two are in a grove. they are a 17mm
