Engine runs great but.........

Starts fine, pulls strongly through the rev range, no hesitations or stumbles but once it gets hot, tickover settles at around 1100 to 1150 rpm.

What could be wrong? (forgot to mention, its a 4.5 with 60k mileage)

You need to get the throttle linkage set up and the throttle back stops set.

Mine (a 4.5) is very sensitive to heat expansion and I had to set the throttle with the engine cooking whilst wearing marigolds...

If you can't get anything less than 1200RPM, the prob could be elsewhere e.g. worn throttle butterflies or bushes etc.

You'll need the MBE s/w to it properly low so you can see the true engine speed.

It's a very easy job to set-up
