This is going to be expensive

Just done my weekly check on the cerb.
Oil level was fine, tyres are good, battery fluid level fine, water level just below minimum.
I just thought I'd check the air filter, so started took off the oil breather pipe from the offside.

There was a light brown emulsion dripping from the oil pipe.

The oil on the dipstick is fine and the nearside bank of cylinders appears to be clean.

Clearly it needs to be fixed. This may come down to price, but it be better the get a complete rebuild/upgrade instead?

If you are doing short runs in the car a build up of condensation can do this.Worth investigating first before lashing out money. Other things to check for are. Does the car have difficulty,or take a while turning over before it fires up??. Has it started to run lumpy at all??

Not all is lost, you need to do a compression test, might just be the condensation from the weather (damp/hot/cold cycles).

Thanks for the info about condensation, I didn't know about that. The car is fine was fine starting and runs fine, it's just that the water level has dropped a bit.
It's got to go in to the garage to be sorted, I guess I have to decide if it got to someone like TVR power or STR8Six in case it needs a more intensive care.

When I first got mine I had a similar scare with the brown froth under the filler cap. I wiped it clean and monitored it for a while and it never came back.
It's common for these cars to have small water leaks here and there so drive it for a bit and monitor how things go. (but probably best not redline it just yet until you are sure!)
A compression test would be good if you are that worried.
