Lights upgrade for later Tuscan style lights

After my respray the lights have been put back in facing every which way but forward. Consequently I have to remove them anyway but since they are totally crap I'm thinking about an upgrade. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

I was very pleased with the result, the gaffer used to have a Cerb and there was some good stuff in his workshop. Cost me about £1,600 but then it tidied up a stone-chipped front end too.

Have you thought about HIDs. I fitted them to my cerb and they made a big difference, but I didn't need to re-align the headlights, it was a straightforward plug in for me. I do however only have have them on dipped beam (top light) side lights are now the little bulbs between the two lights (fitted LED bulb in here). Flash or main beam are the bottom lights but not HIDs as they take a few seconds to become bright so not ideal for flash/ing.

Reason I ask is that the lenses are getting tatty and discoloured.
Ideally I was looking to put in a complete replacement for the dipped lights. Take your point about the main beams, suppose best thing for them is some new lenses and more powerful bulbs.

fatjon, I fitted new HIDs in the existing light assembly. It was a bit tricky as there was not much room in the wing and you also have to plug the existing wiring that goes to light into a new box (ballast) and then take the wires from the new box with the HID bulb on the end and plug it into the existing light units.
Fitting new light units if yours nead replacement I would imagine would be fairly difficult as the units are bonded into place with adhesive, I'm sure a TVR specialist could do it but not something I would DIY.
Why not try HIDs first , mine cost £35 on e-bay and despite a few on here telling me I should be paying £100 from a UK firm, mine came from china and are identical to the ones UK firms are pedling. They have been faultless so far.
But remember you lose the top lights as sidelights, the sequence is very small light 1, top lights 2, bottom lights main beam/Flash 3.

HIDs suit the Tuscan style light better, so if you like the styling of these lights then I would have the light conversion done and put HIDs in.

The projector lens lights use a plate to give a sharp horizontal cutoff, which when use with HIDs is ideal (like a modern BMW) whereas the original H4 lights rely on the reflector and shield to give the cutoff which is not so effective. I say go for it.

I already have the tuscan style lights, the pic is actually my car. Was just looking for pointers on how to make them actually illuminate the road. Typical TVR, 200mph car and lights that illuminate 15 feet in front of the car.
just set off with adjusting ride height and discovered one rear shock is fubar. the adjusting threads have parted company with the shock body. Raceproved to the rescue though, they reckon they have a pair on the shelf.
