No light. Just a lack of motion

No light thats comes on, and no gaurantees that even if the needle is not on empty your not actually about to run out of fuel.

I fill up religiously at a quarter tank, old habit with my MG ZT V8 and the crappy BMW fuel pump.

i ran out of fuel in mine thinking it was just above empty crappy gauge

I think mine runs out just as it hits empty, luckily. The owners manual even states there is NO reserve, when the gauge reads empty, it's empty (or passed empty as some have found)!
