Make sure you've got decent discs, and talk to Brummie about some Carbon Loraine pads. I've got them them up front and they are very good. Also look at getting some good quality fluid before the track day.

Just don't stay out doing lap after lap until the brakes are toast. 7-10 lap sessons, with a cool-down lap (using the brakes as little as possible), and come in for a 15 min break (remembering *not* to put the handbrake on!). It's good for keeping up your concentration too, and not letting the red mist come down.

Mintex 1144's are good for about 15-20 mins, anything more and they overheat and can cause warped disks.
I usually do 15-20 mins and then let the car rest for 20-30 mins, mind you I'm probably taking photo's as well.
The Carbon Loraine pads are excellant.

I have had no issue at all with Mintex and really like them for both road, sprinting and trackdays. Perhaps there was some other problem causing your squealing?

What would you suggest is causing the squealing?I have had the car 5+ years and had EBC pads before and never had a problem with the pads/brakes until the Mintex pads were fitted, they were recommended to me by the independent specialist who serviced my car.

What did you try to do to prevent it?
Copper grease
Anti-squeel shims
Chamfer corner of pads

Yellowstuff R pads are great all rounders, i have had them on a few cars of varying power and they have always performed well.

Ive used mintex for the track and road and they arent too bad. They doo squeel on my car as well and they make a lot of dust but they have good initial bite and last roughly 15 minutes on track better than ebc in my opinion.
