Well the back wheels are off and the entire back end section doused in WD40....
Tomorrow im going to strip all the rear end apart, clean it all up and rust proof and paint it.
Then change all the rear end bushes for polly's! Busy weekend!
Was thinking of doing a step by step of how I do it like I did with my rear Diff a few years back. Would this be of any use of is it a very simple job?
And on another note, has anyone got any top tips or pitfalls to watch out for?

Removing the old bush's, i found burning the centre's out then using a drift to knock them out made this a very fast and easy job. I made a puller up to start with but was taking some time ,i did all 14 rears on my chim in a couple of hours. pretty easy job.
I think a step by step will be a good thing for the less mechanical people to see what it is all about and let them get stuck in.
Oh and good luck dont think you will need it its not to tricky.

Breakdust, I just did this very job but on the FRONT of my Cerbera,I replaced all the front bushes, top and bottom ball joints, Track rod ends, all new bolts, wishbones all blasteded and powdercoated along with ARB and new bushes on that to. I found pressing the bushes out in a vice was easy, then just hacksaw the outer metal partof the bush and push out with a screwdriver, takes 5 minutes per bush!! but you will need a good strong vice.
Here's a link to what I did.
Ofcourse the back will be more challenging due to the diff being attached to the rear wheels(forgot the names of the damn things,,metal arms from dif to rear wheels, It's on the tip of my tongue aaghh)

Ok right hand side is mostly done, although I have encountered a problem, in that the pins holding in the hand brake pads have snapped. So I will have to drill them out!
Also going to change all 4 drive shaft boots as they look a little tired at the moment.
I will do the write up on the left hand side so that I get everything in the correct order
As A sub note, Im going to get all 4 wishbones and the bearing housing powder coated, been quoted £60-70 pounds for shot blast and powder, does this sound about right?
