gear change notchy

I'll offer a guess while you wait for the experts but I might get flamed for it.
Some people have said that prior to the clutch master/slave cylinder going they have had a tough gearchange. Maybe coupled with a bit of a softish pedal feel.
Mine went but I didn't notice it different before but I had been away for a month.
Another possible?? might be the clutch fingers. I've heard that these are a regular contender.
Do a search on the forum for more ideas. one here

No you wont get flamed.
When my clutch went, I struggled getting it into reverse. The next time i got in it, i couldn't select any gears. Some of the fhe fingers had broken.
