Right, due to an unfortunate change in circumstances I am now having to pay my mortgage and bills on my own which means my now fully sorted Speed Six must go.

So I have a number of avenue's to explore in terms of selling her but I wanted to get your feedback regarding how much she's worth.

2000 W reg
Crystal Topaz with light grey and blue full hide
18'' Spiders
17k with full TVR service history
Full top end rebuild done by TVR Power 400 miles ago
New clutch just fitted by APM (not picked the car up yet!)

What do you guys think?

I've got a tenner.........

.....I'll need change.

Or swap for an almost-run-in Griff? Nah, didn't think you'd want to slum it in one of them.

No - seriously for a mo - there's a 99V SP6 with 21k in last Sunday Times for £20,950. Let's find it......

In fact it's here, but already sold - so if it went for near asking, and yours is a bit younger, fewer miles and a private sale..........

It's as good a time a year as any to sell, too!

Need to see this car and squeeze in a before it goes mind! It's bound to be another three or four weeks before you get your next car....(TVR?)....

Assuming you're not willing to wait around to sell it for months, and the perfect punter doesn't come along on day one...

Private sale, I'd expect no more than £22k after the haggling is done. And £19k tops for trading it in. Could well be less on either count.

Sucks, doesn't it?

Yep, unfortunately I'd agree with JSG (not that the agreement is unfortunate, more the price)

£22-23K private and about £3K less trade in...

Sorry to hear you are having to sell.

Based on the 'ex' TVR dealers comments on another thread, there isn't
any confidence in the S6 there at the moment.

I hope you don't take a big hit on it.

Good luck.

Paul,

Dont do anything rash. I assume your problem is female related. I am in a similar position and (very) briefly considered selling my pride and joy. However I resolved to keep it at all costs and dont regret keeping it for one minute. - every time I open the garage door I am reminded I did the right thing.

Or I could be talking utter b*ll*cks.

Thanks for all the thoughts guys.

I have promised myself another one when finances permit (and it will be another speed six).

I have now put my baby in the trustworthy paws of Adrian Blyth, so if anyone wants a fully sorted Cerbera drop him a line.

Paul's had this one three months now - it's probably time for a change!

Think you should get the enjoyment out of it though! hang on in there.

It's actually 4.5 months !!

If it was possible to hang on I would ... I've had so much work done on the car it seams a shame for someone else to get all the benefit.
