SPEAKERS FOR THE CERBERA

Would love to know what is the model number of the best in the range front and rear mb quart speaker that will fit the cerbera..

also if some one knows the size of the rear sub to fit the helmet hole... wether this is one or two subs, what size or even model number..???

I think it is a 10" sub as i have just removed one from mine. i have a sub and amp that are only a few months old and still in the box and the surround that will fit in to the helmet holder. PM if your interested.

The rears are from memory very small 10cm units, I changed them but as they are so small it made little difference. The fronts in the doors have a lot more room for fiddling with an MDF spacer ring you can fit in quite a few different things, I think mine are 6"

The biggest sub you can fit is one 10", thet say the JL 10W0v2 is one of the best for the small sealed enclosures. That’s what I fitted into the enclosure I made.

Probably fibreglass, top looks like MDF possibly.

What speaker recommendations for the front doors?
I had ordered some but turns out that they are too deep to fit without intruding into the car too much / look unsightly.....

I'll look up the names of the rear speakers and ones put into the old helmet holder

The back half is a copy of the original helmet holder in fibreglass & yes the top is MDF, as is the front panel. The front panel was shaped to fit between the seats nicely, then the whole lot was glassed up even more inside to seal it up. I finished it by covering it in matching leather I got from TVR.

I’ve got some ropy old pics of the build process on the PC at home, if you are interested I can post them up tomorrow.

Ignore the notes on the pic it's from my body removal guide, but you can just see the door speakers where they are spaced out of the door a bit to fit the deeper drivers they look fine, there are separate tweeters in there too.
I can't get in the car to take any more pics as the body is hanging from the garage roof.

Will get some pics of the holder up in the morning just heading out soon it is a kicker sub and amp also i have a whole ICE system i removed sat nav/tv multi changer and dvd. And all wires too!

You could do what I've done and fit some rings. They look fine and only cost a few ££

who would anyone recommend in the blackpool area to do a really good install.. Car is with d c trim blackpool for a new interior so makes sense to have install put in first

I managed to get some pics even with the car in bits & hanging from the roof.

My spacer rings are behind the trim on the panel so it’s hard to tell they are spaced out:

Nut bonded & sealed into the back of the box, so it can be bolted in from in the boot.






This is it fitted with the old Sub, the new one looks better.

Couple of questions:

Do you find that you hit your knee or leg on them as they intrude a bit more?

What are the rings from? Where do you get them?

I find my knees hit the standard speakers lol, but planning on fitting some new ones and will need to space them out a little. I've got two sets of speaker grilles so I was going to use one set of surrounds without the grille installed as a spacer. If that doesn't work I'm going to fit some MDF spacer rings. I will probably make my own, but if I'm feeling lazy, you can buy off the shelf rings from car audio shops such as -

I'm planning on fitting some DLS Iridiums but have no idea where I'm going to mount the tweeters as they are huge! A-pillar pods won't be an easy option either.
