What a cracking car! I have a funny feeling that a fair bit more than £7k has been spent on the engine though, actually the bodywork and suspension also looks light considering whats been done.. Still not sure I'd pay that for it though - I'd pay something around £30k for it I suspect

I expect you're right, numbers a bit conservative. There's also a big hassle factor with doing a car up which could easily be worth 5k to someone with a sufficiently well endowed wallet looking for the best.

Having spent £15K or more on mine in 18 months I would think that mine has cost simliar, if not more than this. The condition and spec of mine is very simliar. I certainly wouldnt value mine at £35K though.

Shame the one for sale has been rebodied - personally I think it would be worth more if the body was a Mk 1.

That is a LOT of car.

If it wasn't for the year of registration it surely has to be up to (if not greater than) Smolenski's White order.

If I had money, I'd rather pay that for that than ANYTHING else available on the market up to £130K.

Just added up what I've spent on mine in the last 5 years, the total is £22,583, which coincidentally is about what I paid for it That includes upgrades as well as maintenance though. The total for the car's lifetime is £29,011, and the purchase price inc options was just over 50k. Worth every penny

yes its a shame.. because the person who buys this car ok..so he wont have the same costs has gazzab..or farmyard... but the problem lies in this question... do we want to buy high and save on the longterm or buy low.. and spend and learn and pay the same amount as the original buy high..

For me any way i like to buy low as i did with my last TVR, half the fun for me is getting to pull the thing to bits and learning how it all works. Plus the satisfaction i get with the final product. Making a tatty car a good one is so much fun so for me that is TVR ownership. But i understand that for some people that idea is nightmare. I am a engineer i cant help it.

I think the car is STUNNING, I don't think the price is that bad for the spec and the time and care put into it , this has to be one of the finest Cerbs on the road today .I'm perfectly happy with my own Cerb but if I was in the market for one and had the cash I would certainly consider it.

I have seen the car in the flesh and it is perfect, a real no expence spared job. The £40k comes nowhere near what it has cost the owner

This Cerbera is the best available today, there is nothing you could do to improve it and worth more than the asking price. Who ever gets it will have a car to be proud of.

Looks great, would want to know who had done all the engine work though. A few things on that list don't ring true...
