100db performance exhaust?

I would like a 100db performance exhaust so that I dont have to fit cans on trackdays, can anyone recommend a quieter performance system for a 4.5

Talk to ACT ? I think thats the best place to start? Or spec your own via an indie?

I'm going to get a custom one made by torque flow on Monday. I will report back after that They have quoted around £500 for it, the ACT/SP ones are about £800+VAT but are tried and tested. I just need something temporary-ish that will allow me to take it on Track days, I will probably swap back to the sports pipes after the track days though, but if it sounds any good I might keep it

Mines 101db, i built it using 4 silencers, wasnt dear to build, as long as you are handy with welder. used boxes that were around £30 each from Ashley exhausts.

They are localish to me and i speccced the length i wanted, and they knocked em up.

I've got an ACT quiet system, runs 106db at 4500 revs decatted, or 96-97db with the cats in, or 98-100db decatted, but with ACT trackday silencers bolted on the end. This was with TVR manifolds, but I've recently fitted ACT's manifolds so I don't know what it runs currently.

If has silencing built into the long central pipes, plus the usual rear cans, plus some in the tailpipes also.

Apparently if you ask, ACT will modify the ends for you so that you can have a bolt on/off tailpipes to swap with trackday cans.

I've got the larger bore ACT sports exhaust and it is suitably loud (the kids said I couldn't have a quiet Cerbera! ). Tested, it came in at about 112db.

I had Austec fit rear track silencers whereby I unbolt the ends of the existing exhausts and fit the extra silencers. This gets it down to just about 105dbs.

It's a bit of a fiddle changing the silencers, due to having to line up the bolt holes, but it's then only a 5 minute job, 10 with coffee!!

It came nicely wrapped up in a box straight to Austec!! I've seen it under the car since but I tend not to spend any time under the car - I prefer to be driving it!!!

I can have a look if it helps.

Tim at ACT was very helpful and would know how it looks!
