passenger window

Any clues before I start ripping the door apart. When I wrapped my cerb up in October everything was working fine electrically. It was down at Greenstar this month for MOT and servicing....and a replacement set of shocks unfortunately. They noticed that the passenger window does not drop when the door is asked to open. The door still clocks open though. I would have never noticed as I dont have passengers in the car very often.

It will either be the magnetic reed switch in the door sill, or the window limit switch at the front edge of the door under the door card, or the connectors to them.

My first step would be to clean all the connectors in the door and see if it helps.

I had the same problem, brought on by washing the car. Never got round to taking the door apart but it fixed itself, for the moment. One watch out - as the door clicked open with the window up it took a nick of paint off the door surround near the windscreen top corner.
