Cerb euro trip about 3 years ago about 15 of us went and the same number came back, though fubes did have issues trying to get off the ferry. Did manage to get round in just over 9 mins, with a passenger who new the track like the back of his hand.

I went three times last year with no issues, apart from a frayed throttle cable on the last trip but it didn't lead to a break down.

But I was only living an 1.5 hrs away.

Did a ring trip in 2008 and 2009 without a hitch. Didn't time myself because I'm slow anyway. I'm in the north east so that was a 1500 mile round trip each time. Last year went to Spa and the Cerb threw the AC belt off and needed the clutch bleeding as it gassed up, oh and I destroyed the tyres. Went on to survive the awful roadworks around Brussels in 30 degree heat without a problem.

I'm thinking of doing the same trip around Easter.

The reliability is something that concerns me too.

Planning an Iceland tour next year. And its not the trip distance that worries me (2500 miles), but the potential lack of roadside assistance.

I did a trip back in '07. No reliability problems at all but I did manage to spin it!

The Ring is 75 mins away from me but I've done the UK trip 3/4 times a year for the last 5 years and she's bever been a problem.

If nothing's hanging off then she loves long distances.

I work on the said ferry and also got a minor alarm hiccup onboard. Cancelled the alarm by holding the fob next to the rear screen and it eventually opened. I was parked starboard side forward (right hand side at the front)and a number of cars have had problems, and not all TVR's. Theres a large amount of electronic controllers and thyristor drives in this area and I wonder if theres a lot of electrical noise effecting things.

thanks to all makin me wanting to do it more now.went before in my escos and was all good apart from starter packed in on way home on ferry.

I've just been looking at the route on Google maps and it tells me I'll be paying about €275 for petrol ..... each way and that doesn't include the time on the track.



Still, seeing as how the Green Party (along with Fianna Fail) have fu(ked up the country over here I'm thinking I have to go ..... in defiance of the Greens.
