It'g got a strange engine. Is that a supercharger on top?

That was a very early incarnation of the AJP. There used to be a version (the only version?) of that in reception at the factory.

Looks like an alternate airbox setup, but looks a but high on the engine, would think the bonnet would rub?

That's a dry sump version. Not sure they ever got into any road going versions.

deffo dry sump ajp8, with probably an airbox carried over from the rv8 they considered installing in the early prototype stage......or maybe it was just lying around and looked better for the publicity photos whilst decided what they were going to do next.............
