Okay so my 98 cerbie's back end now trails the floor so a new set of dampers required.

What are my options:-

TVR's replacements later ones
AVO's
Nitrons
or
Guglielmi Dampers (any one have these fitted) ?

Any opinions, thanks ?

Oops... hope theres not too much damage done in there...

AVO's are a great value/performing brand... and great for the road driver....

Nitrons are specialist monotube shocks, more designed for someone with extreme driving habits and the track...

Take your pick, although the Nitrons cost considerably more than the AVO's... but you get the same performance as Ohlins but at a fraction of the cost....

I'd recommend go down the AVO route if you're a sensible driver and dont track much... otherwise Nitrons is the way to go for the hells angels in here...

hi
I have nitrons fitted and the car handles 100% better
plus you can adjust the ride stiff to soft very easy .
I had cheaper shocks put on before and they was no where near as good . the nitrons are made very well. they suit road and track I can only recomend them

Mine colapsed a few months ago. Replaced with AVO's. Would have loved Nitrons (see Joolz if you fancy some), but my wallet said no.

I've just gone AVO on the griff, after a leaky damper at MOT time (same as Kojak, didn't have the money at the time). If I were a betting man (sic) I'd say that it will be fitted with Nitrons before the year's out though

Same advice again - Joolz for either AVO or Nitron. The man knows his stuff.

Simple answer - if you love your car, buy the best you can afford. If it's just a car to you, buy the cheapest you can get away with.
