I was looking under car to nite when I was lining up the exhaust and noticed that the right n/s metal bracket which holds the bush i'n has broken and I was wondering if any other part would fit this or would I just weild it back up

Are you talking about the U-shape clamp?

If so just weld it.

It'll be fine.

If you are talking about the bracket that holds it to the chassis then have a look in the equivaent parts thread for the diagram I posted ages ago with the details and dimensions of how to make a new stronger one.

Take it off.

It's just a couple of nuts that need to be undone.

Don't weld it on the car whatever you do, you'll cause loads of trouble for yourself.
