Track Day Tyre Pressures

I'm of to Bedford Autodrome tomorrow for my track day taster session, just doing a few checks on my cerb and wondered if anyone has a recommendation for tyre pressures, i'm running 18" spiders with 235/40 up front & 245/40 on the rear.

What tyres are you running? My recommendation is 26psi all round, i found the car is very responsive to small tweeks with tyre pressures, much more so than on my old track car.

Dunlop Sport 9000 on the back and Toyo Proxes on the front, all came with the car when I bought her but are about due for change, what do you recommend?

Id go 26psi all aound then to start with, check them as they warm up as the pressures will go up, just drop them slightly to suit.

Different people have different preferences. You may not end up adjusting them at all if youve not done much in the way of trackdays. Incerasing the pressure on the rears may provoke tail happy moments of fun

Thanks for the advise and faith in my ability although I fear you could be right and I am feeling slightly nervous

I drop mine to about 18/20psi for TDs and with heat they go back up (to what I dont know as I normally get so 'in to' the session I forget about rechecking them ).

FWIW I find 24psi all round as my preferred road pressure
