which leather cleaning products do you use as a rule.Been into halfords for a look today,nearly bought autoglym but then thought ask first.;)Also where can i get leather colour/dyes from,to restore seat bolster.The bolster is not bad i just want her bang on inside and out.

I've used the autogylm cleaner, followed by the conditioner and worked great, i did buy some leather repair kit for my black leather seats on my MG but never used it but can't remember who i brought it from, come as a kit, with sponge, wet and dry paper, dye, etc.

I clean mine once a year (Meguiar's or Auto Glymm) and feed at that point, I let that soak in for a few days if I can and I re-feed before winter

Same for me, twice a year, quite generous with the conditioner as it is amazing how much the leather absorbs.

Excellent range of products for repairing leather, just done the sofa at home after the cat decided to use it as scratching post. Really impressed with the results and totally amazed by what can be fixed even by an amateur such as myself.

If using the furniture repair system its much better to do the top coat with a modellers spray gun it give a truly professional look.

One of the best way to cleann leather is with a good Soap, like 'Dove'. Warm water, a sponge, and soap, and a bar lasts for ages. I jest not, it works, and it's also very good for the leather.

If you go onto the detailing section of piston heads you will read a lot of detailed threads on this.When I did the bolsters on mine I applied lots of thin coats with sponges and the the final coat I sprayed.It took me about 4 hrs in total but over a whole weekend if that makes sense.As for conditioners etc they dont really work that well as the seats have a sealed gloss finish on them so babywipes were sugested to me and ive used them ever since.Hope this helps. If you go on the detailing site look at some of the cars KDS has done it will show you what can be done quite simply with good results.

If I buy a car where the leather hasn't been cleaned in a while I'll use Magic/Power/Doktor Eraser to get rid of all the dirt and grime, but usually I use Gliptone leather cleaning/care products: http://www.liquidleather.com/
