Help needed,Cerb not starting

Taken the Cerb for a weekend away and it won't start.

At first the starter motor was ticking over but now it does not even make an attempt. I don't think it is the battery, fuel pump etc. is working. What could it be failing starter motor, fuse?

Need to go home tomorrow, so a running Cerb would be nice.

Any ideas?

are you getting all usaul dash lights when go to start.if so starter may be jammed put in gear rock it back and forward.
i would also try youre battery connections mines was bit loose before and a wiggle sorted that out and got it tightendup

Sounds like battery, there may be enough charge in the battery to power the pump, but the starter needs heaps more. Try jump starting, if that does not work, starter motor may be faulty, but you said it did initially click.

Forgot to mention, I tried jump starting with good quality leads and a heavy diesel engine. Also tried to loosen the starter rocking the car in gear. Didn't help. Yesterday all worked well and I drove 100 miles in it and took it of the charger when leaving, so the battery should be full.

You could try conecting a live feed to the solenoid wire on the starter. This will tell you if the starter button is faulty.Just a quick dab mind.

I've just fixed this problem today.
Same as you went out for a drive, everything works but no starter.
Fuse 5 needs checking as it's connected to the starter solonoid.
If that's ok then your going to have to remove the scuttle panel,
look down slightly to the right of center you should see the starter
There is a small wire coming from the top area of the starter, it should
go to a small black box about an inch square. This is the connector that
you need to check, it's way too big so puts undue stress on the rather fragile
cable to the starter solenoid.
Check the other part of this wire is still connected to the actual starter aswell.
It'll bump start without doing anything, but not ideal.
My money's on that wire somewhere.
I cut the box out and joined it together with a bullet connector under a peice of
Shrink wrap.

Just to add to Nickccc's suggestion;

Leave it in neutral!!! One of the original TVR fuses on ours - when removed - cycled the starter motor non-stop.

I've done exactly the same with mine Nick. The connector block attached to the starter motor solenoid is far too big. Cut it off and crimped new connectors to both wires and wrapped in heat reflecting tape. Job well done I thought thus eliminating another possible problem area.

I had similar last weekend,fuel pump primed then when you push start button nothing,couple of people on here said to just keep finger on push start for a while.Have not tried this yet have got a couple of drying out issues to deal with first,oh and a few other checks big fuse was also mentioned;)

Also, all the wiring along the back of the engine could do with some sort of support.
I sheared two large connectors due to the loom pulling down on its electrical contact points.

In the Netherlands (where I live). Will start working on it now, i'll let you guys know when I solved the problem.

I replaced fuse #5. It was faulty. I now hear a tick when i push ignition, but the starter doesn't turn over. Also tried it again with jumpstarting, nothing.

Will go into the wires now, but my gut feeling says that the starter is broken.

Got it running. Pulling it behind another car. So it is the starter motor that is broken.

Now to search for a replacement.....
