Scooby shootout...
Discussion
i'm considering going for a little fun at the Elvington shootout drag and top speed run... any of you interested? they've got a few places left for other marquees, theres a guy with a tuscan on the list and a ferrari and lambo and porsche... maybe a couple of cerberas would be great to add to the list... i'd feel more up to it if a fellow cerbera convoyed along? and maybe some non-contest cerberas just for a day out... its on May 31st monday bank holiday...
JSG, excellent, but you'll have to get the entry in now, otherwise you'll feel gutted if you turn up and no room for another.
By the way, off topic, was your car at Joo's hideout on Saturday, all prepped for pick up?
Not too worried about running it "at speed" just yet - need to get the throttle bodies sorted first as it cuts out at 6000+ RPM, and runs lumpy as hell through the rest of the range... got it booked in with SFR to take care of it, but until I've got that sorted it's hard to spot any other niggles it might have that'd stop me from racing it, and it could end up being there a couple of weeks while every other niggle's taken care of (don't ya just love the "month of hell" that begins the ownership of every tiv?
) Anyway, I'll just turn up and chance it if I'm in the area - need a day or two for a couple of practice runs elsewhere in it before I drag the Tuscan in public!
Yeah, I picked it back up from Joolz on Saturday afternoon - was just having the Nitrons switched over from the Cerb onto it. Nearly lost my license within 15 mins of getting into it, though, when a V70 pursuit car came screaming down a slip-road at 100ish, as I overtook it on the main road doing 125.
Thankfully he wasn't paying attention/had other people to pester!
