I don't think I'd feel safe going under the car if it was on one of those.

But that's just my opinion .....

I was wondering the same things but I guess it must be made to some sort of BSI standard?

I wondered whether it would be possible to extend the lifting plates to reach the jacking points. I'll ask the manufacturer.

I may be wrong but I think you'll find they won't slide under the car. I thought the chassis height was circa 120mm ? plus the floor pan is lower than the chassis rails.
The site says a minimum height of 150mm, just a thought smile

Tenuous link, I've recently bought the adjustable ramps from the same people http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE-CAR-RAMPS-...

No problems reversing on thumbup however driving on requires care as the side frame has a square edge that could dig into the front valance.

It looks to me like it would hit the floorpan before the outriggers took any weight. Lifting the car by the body isn't likely to end well - particularly if you are underneath!

The other disadvantage is that the cross bracing on the lift would stop you from doing the clutch, which has to be one of the main reasons for wanting to lift it in the first place.

Looks like a death trap to me...

I was thinking about it for a front and rear suspension refurb. However, I've already started with axle stands and seem to be getting on OK.
